I just read SPARCs "about" page and don't understand what they do: "Educate stakeholders, Advocate policy changes and Incubate demonstrations -- huh?!? This is what I'd like them to do -- Take all the research, knowledge and information that's locked away in hard-copies on library shelves and make it FREELY available to us ignorant masses via the internet.
Yes. They speak of correcting imbalances in a mealy way that begs the Happy Tutor's corrective measures. Short of that, what can be said is the list of members includes the PLOS and the DOAJ, so they can't be all bad. They need to curb their propensity for fecklessness.
