CymaGlyph dolphin blogging ?
Fascinating ...
wonder about this:
even a single molecule of air or water carries all the information that describes the qualities and intensity of a given sound
That is hard to imagine .. but I know very little about the combination of aural physics and chemistry.
I can also imagine that the definition of "qualities and intensity" might be very precise ?
No doubt. Once decoded, I'm afraid they'll all turn out to be saying: "we are the heirs to this planet - if we manage to survive your stupidity."
Stupids R' Us ?
I usually don't think humans, as a generality, are so stupid .. I do think that many countries do not provide very good education, while at the same time providing very good propaganda, restricted access to real and truthful information, and generally marketing stupefying consumer choice to all comers.
It's as you say. Dolphins would merely see the net effect of species activity and make their judgment call (Genome Idol?)
What's of real interest to me here is the possibility of unimagined dimensions of the signifier.
Life in Hilbert space.
